J.River Media Center - мультимедийный центр. Проигрывает большинство популярных аудио- и видеоформатов, включая MP3, аудио-CD и DVD, может преобразовывать CD-аудиотреки в WAV и MP3, переписывать на жёсткий диск виниловые диски и кассеты, а также создавать аудио-CD, причём для всех этих функций программа имеет множество настраиваемых параметров. Кроме того, есть очень хороший и мощный органайзер мультимедийных файлов, медиаредактор, эквалайзер, встроенный DSP и удобный планировщик заданий для автоматизации проигрывания/записи,  поддерживается пульт ДУ. Из необязательных, но приятных функций - возможность изменения внешнего вида с помощью скинов, мини-режим проигрывателя и "телевизор". Программа имеет мультиязычный интерфейс, включая русский.

    Кто-то жаловался на неработающий DTS - обратите внимание на последние билды, активно допиливают автоматическое управление кодеками (внешние теперь не нужны), в том числе и для отдельных DTS файлов. Фича зовётся Red October ))
