We acknowledge that weve had some bumps in the road and appreciate your patience as we navigate around them. We remain very excited about our future as part of Broadcom and very committed to our partnership with you. Second, we are making some important changes to our Endpoint Security portfolio and wanted to share those changes with you. As our strategic partners in protecting customers from cyber security threats, you know that endpoint security is moving beyond malware. Our latest research shows the following: +33% increase in mobile ransomware +600% increase in IoT attacks +80% Increase in iOS and Android vulnerabilities +56% Increase in risky Wi-Fi networks +54% increase in mobile malware variants With endpoint threats continually changing, it's important that our mutual customers run the latest, most up-to-date cyber security solutions possible for all their endpoints. To that end, we are announcing that all customers running Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEP Cloud) or Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) will receive a free upgrade to Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) for the remainder of their existing subscription. They will need to fully transition to SES prior to November 2, 2020 or your customers devices will no longer be protected. When your customers install SESE, they will be protected by the industry-leading endpoint protection platform. Moving from their current SEP Cloud or SEP SBE version, your customers will gain the following advanced security protections: Intensive Protection that enables fine-grained tuning of the level of detection and blocking separately to optimize protection and gain enhanced visibility into suspicious files Network Connection Security that identifies rogue Wi-Fi networks and utilizes hotspot reputation technology to deliver a policy-driven VPN to protect network connections and support compliance Artificial intelligence (AI) - guided security management for establishing strong security policies with fewer misconfigurations to help improve overall security hygiene and posture Flexible deployment with support for on-premises, cloud managed, and hybrid models Continuing threat intelligence updates, based on Symantecs Global Intelligence Network Integration with other Symantec solutions for more complete threat intelligence and correlated threat analysis When you help migrate your customers to SESE, you will see the following benefits: Opportunity in Renewals: once your customers free subscriptions expire, youll have an opportunity to renew them and possibly move them to Symantec Endpoint Security Complete. Set Up for Cross-Selling: if you migrate your customers to SESE, youll be in a much better position to sell across Symantecs Integrated Cyber Defense Platform, unveiling new opportunities as enterprises consolidate security vendors and aim to simplify their infrastructure. Deliver Stronger Security for Your Customers: SESE supports flexible deployment on premises, in the cloud, or both. This flexibility is critical to securing your customers as they go through their digital transformation. Plus, SESE will continue to receive threat intelligence updates and correlated analytics to help strengthen your customers security posture. Given this change in our product strategy, we ask you to stop selling SEP Cloud and SEP SBE effective immediately and begin positioning the value of this enhanced functionality now. If you need to change your customers subscription or even cancel it, you will need to complete that transaction by 2 MAR 2020. If you have a unique customer situation that warrants a short-term solution, we will allow sales until May 4, 2020. Please note that these changes are transactional only and impact the ability to license new and additional users; it does not impact the security at the endpoint and your customers will continue to be protected. Also, we plan to work very closely with you to transition your customers to their free SES subscription and ensure that they are protected by a world class enterprise security offering. We will be communicating this information to customers shortly and would appreciate your support to ensure a smooth transition to this new solution.
